Giampaolo Bandini and Cesare Chiacchiaretta make up the Bandini & Chiacchiaretta Duo. A classical guitar and bandoneon duo, they formed in 2002 in order to pursue traditional Argentine music using the charm and magic of the country’s most representative instruments. Srs. Bandini and Chiacchiaretta immediately became a highly respected duo throughout the international concert circuit, thanks largely to their great communication and musical skills and coupled with their extraordinary charisma.The Duo has been invited to perform at many prominent music festivals and theatres throughout the world. Srs. Bandini and Chiacchiaretta have toured throughout Mexico, Romania, China, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland, Croatia, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Hungary, and at each location their music was met with outstanding critical acclaim and audience approval.

The Duo earned the privilege to play Astor Piazzolla’s double concerto, “Hommage a Liegi,” conducted by Maestro Leo Brouwer at the Auditorium Paganini in Parma, Italy, and also for the Unione Musicale in Turino, Italy, with the renowned Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and conducted by Pavel Berman. In 2004, the Bandini-Chiacchiaretta Duo was awarded the 15th Beniamino Joppolo Città di Patti prize in the province of Messina, Italy, for remarkable artistic achievements in the field of music.During 2005 the Duo performed at the prestigious Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia in St. Petersburg, Russia, with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Srs. Bandini and Chiacchiaretta achieved such great respect that they were invited to return for each of the next two succeeding years.
Their unique style of presenting their music to the fullest and without boundaries has led the Duo to work with such prominent artists such as Arnoldo Foà, Elio delle Storie Tese, Amanda Sandrelli; and also perform with many renowned musicians, including Fernando Suarez Paz, Michele Pertusi, Corrado Giuffredi, Danilo Rossi, Massimo Quarta, Enrico Bronzi, Franca Masu, Maria Estela Monti and Enrico Fagone. Their first CD, “Hombres de Tango,” sold more than ten thousand copies and was greeted with great enthusiasm by the critics. They have also recorded many prominent radio and television broadcasts in Italy and abroad. The Duo performed a concert recently in Brussels, Belgium, which was broadcast via satellite to more than twenty countries. As teachers, Srs. Bandini and Chiacchiaretta are requested by some of the most renowned academies and universities in Europe, and they have held classes at institutes such as the Instituto Musicale Luigi Boccherini in Lucca, Italy, and the Conservatorio di Musica Tito Schipa di Lecce in Lecce, Italy. They have also instructed at the summer music festivals in Gubbio and Portogruaro, Italy.
