We’ll give you the bad news first: Pavel Steidl was scheduled to make his Miami debut with us this Saturday night at Clarke Recital Hall at UM’s Frost School of Music…
…until his visa was not approved. Although we are confident Pavel will be able to solve the issue and continue with the remainder of his tour, he will not be able to play for us this weekend. Even though concerts are sometimes unavoidably disrupted, we’re incredibly disappointed. It’s been one of those days…
However, we promised some good news, too, and here it is:
Our dear friend, and world-renowned guitarist, Meng Su has graciously agreed on just four days’ notice to hop on a plane from China and deliver an incredible evening of classical guitar for you on Saturday night, in Pavel’s place!!
Acclaimed as, “…having the star potential to serve as inspiration for new generations of guitarists to come” (Classical Guitar Magazine), Meng Su returns to our series for the third time, especially after her stellar performance in 2016.
While we are crestfallen that Pavel Steidl can’t join us, we’re thrilled for Meng Su to share her music with us, and especially with you, this Saturday night at 8pm, in Clarke Recital Hall. We’ll see you then!
